Arsenal linked with move for Levante forward Etta Eyong
Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Levante striker Etta Eyong, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The 22-year-old has been one of the standout performers in La Liga this season, catching the attention of several European clubs with his consistent displays in front of goal.
Eyong began the campaign at Villarreal, where he managed one goal and two assists before moving to Levante.
Since joining his new club, he has added five goals and one assist in the league.
His overall tally stands at six goals and three assists from ten La Liga appearances. Such productivity has quickly established him as one of the most promising young forwards in Spanish football.
The Cameroonian international’s fine run of form has already earned him a call-up to the national team.
His strength, speed, and ability to score from various positions have made him a valuable asset for Levante.
Eyong is known for his sharp movement, precise finishing, and strong heading ability, often making runs behind defenders or positioning himself well to connect with crosses and set pieces.
Premier League clubs show interest
Reports suggest Arsenal could be planning to strengthen their attack further despite the presence of Viktor Gyökeres.
The North London side may see Eyong as a player capable of providing healthy competition and depth in the forward line as they continue their push across multiple competitions.
However, Arsenal face serious competition for his signature. Barcelona are believed to be keen on securing the young striker as they seek long-term options to replace Robert Lewandowski, who is nearing the latter stages of his career. Real Madrid are also monitoring Eyong’s progress closely.
In England, Manchester City and Manchester United are both understood to be keeping tabs on the player as well.
The widespread interest reflects how highly Eyong is regarded across Europe’s top leagues.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the striker’s release clause is set at £26.42 million for La Liga clubs, while Premier League sides would need to meet a £35 million fee.
Given his form and potential, Eyong could soon become one of the most sought-after young forwards in Europe.
