Arsenal face £35m battle to sign Vasco talent Rayan Rocha
Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Vasco da Gama forward Rayan Rocha, whose rising value could soon make him one of Brazil’s most expensive exports.
Reports from NT Vascainos claim the 19-year-old will cost around £35 million if Arsenal wish to secure his signature before he signs a new deal.
The young attacker has become one of the most promising talents in South America, attracting interest from several top European clubs.
Real Betis are said to have had a £22 million offer rejected, with Vasco firm on their stance that Rayan’s value far exceeds that figure.
Vasco’s directors believe Rayan deserves a higher valuation, especially after his impressive run of form this season.
The teenager has scored 16 goals and provided one assist, showing maturity and quality beyond his years.
His performances have made him a key player for the Brazilian club and a target for major European sides.
Vasco plan new deal and higher release clause
Vasco da Gama are now working on a new contract for Rayan, with talks already in advanced stages.
His current deal runs until December 2026, but the club hope to extend it to 2028.
The new agreement is expected to include a release clause of around £62 million, a figure that would set a new club record if met.
The main aim behind the renewal is to secure Rayan’s long-term future and protect his market value.
The club view him as their most valuable asset and are unwilling to lose him for less than what they believe he is worth.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are not the only Premier League side monitoring his progress.
According to Sport Witness, Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest in the forward and could rival Arsenal in the race for his signature.
Rayan is described as a modern all-round forward with creativity, pace, and strength.
He is comfortable playing across the front line, operating mainly on the right but also capable as a striker or left winger.
His dribbling, close control, and finishing ability have drawn praise, though he is still learning to improve his decision-making and defensive work to suit European football.
At just 19, Rayan Rocha represents a blend of potential and polish, and his next move could define the next stage of his promising career.
