Arsenal ‘preparing’ to make move to sign Kenan Yildiz
Arsenal are reportedly ‘preparing’ to make a move to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, as per Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 20-year-old has continued to shine for club and country this season. In eight appearances across all competitions, the youngster has made six goal contributions.
Moreover, he helped Turkiye thrash Bulgaria by scoring a brace last week before netting one goal against Georgia. Following that, Vincenzo Montella’s side are currently second in their World Cup qualifying group and look well on course to reach the playoff round.
Now, GdS state that Arsenal have been impressed by the youngster’s recent performances and are ‘preparing’ to make a move to lure him away from the Allianz Stadium.
However, purchasing Yildiz won’t be straightforward for the Gunners, as Chelsea are also in this race and launched a failed swoop to buy him this summer. On the other hand, Barcelona are also keen on him.
Although Yildiz has established himself as one of the best players of Juventus, his salary doesn’t reflect that at the moment. So, the Bianconeri are looking to hand him a fresh term with an improved salary to keep the vultures away.
Yildiz to Arsenal
The report say that Yildiz is currently the most valuable player in Serie A; he is valued at around £97m and has a contract until 2029. So, Juventus are in a strong position to demand a huge fee if they are forced to cash-in next year.
It was reported that purchasing a new left-winger was on Arsenal’s agenda this summer. Although they signed Eberechi Eze, he is more comfortable in the creative midfield position. So, it appears the North London club are planning to buy a new wide forward next year.
Yildiz is a versatile player as he is comfortable in the left flank as well as the No.10 role. He has already showcased glimpses of his qualities in recent times and is expected to become a world-class player in the future.
Therefore, the Turkish international would be a great coup for the North London club should they eventually manage to secure his services next year.
