Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs West Ham – Eze & Odegaard both start for Gunners
Arsenal can climb to the top of the Premier League table with a win over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
We head into the game off the back of a solid 2-0 win over Olympiacos in the Champions League. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka got the goals as we maintained our 100 per cent record in the league phase of the competition.
Arsenal now switch focus to domestic matters as we look to leapfrog Liverpool into top spot. Last weekend’s dramatic 2-1 win away to Newcastle United closed the gap on the leaders to just two points after Liverpool lost at Crystal Palace. With the champions not playing Chelsea until later this evening, Arsenal can put the pressure on with a win over the Hammers.
Mikel Arteta has made some changes from the side that beat Olympiacos in midweek but David Raya keeps his place in goal while Gabriel Magalhaes is passed fit after being withdrawn on Wednesday night as a precaution.
William Saliba also starts once again but there are changes in the full-back positions with Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori coming in for Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Martin Zubimendi is given a rest so Declan Rice anchors the midfield in the middle of the park. Martin Odegaard keeps his place after his superb performance in midweek while Eberechi Eze also starts in an attack-minded line-up.
Saka is recalled to start on the right flank after being on the bench in midweek. Leandro Trossard surprisingly keeps his place on the left wing so Martinelli has to make-do with a place on the bench.
Viktro Gyokeres continues to lead the line and hopefully he can get himself among the goals this afternoon.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
