Arsenal eye Barcelona teenager Dro Fernandez
Arsenal are keeping a close watch on Barcelona youngster Dro Fernandez, according to reports from TBR Football.
The London club are known for keeping tabs on promising players with the potential to develop into top stars.
They have now turned their attention towards the teenage forward with reports suggesting Arsenal are showing a keen interest in Fernandez.
However, TBR Football claims the 17-year-old is not willing to entertain interest from abroad at this stage of his career.
He prefers to stay focused on Barcelona and continue his development in Spain.
Fernandez has risen through the famous La Masia academy, which has produced many of Barcelona’s greatest players.
He was handed his senior debut at the weekend in a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad, where he started the match.
Contract talks and rival interest
Fernandez has a current deal with Barcelona that runs until 2027. However, the club are already holding talks over a new contract once he turns 18.
They are keen to secure his long-term future because they are aware of the growing interest in him.
Arsenal are not alone in following the teenager. Chelsea and Manchester City are also monitoring him closely, with both sides believed to admire his qualities.
Fernandez has been described as a player with outstanding technique and quick decision-making on the ball.
He is creative and composed, often showing his ability to keep control under pressure.
He developed many of these skills through futsal, which has shaped his style into one of balance and flair.
His natural position is on the left wing, where he can cut inside on his stronger right foot to create chances.
Fernandez has already shown an eye for delivering accurate passes and shots in dangerous positions.
He is confident with set pieces, able to strike the ball with precision.
The teenager is also known for his sharp acceleration, which he uses to glide past defenders in tight areas.
His awareness of space and movement allows him to make a strong impact in attacking phases.
Clubs across Europe are now watching his progress closely, but Barcelona remain determined to tie him down to a fresh deal before he turns 18.
