Arsenal have finalised the signing of Mishel Nduka from Charlton Athletic, according to reports from Scoutingindoors.
The Gunners continue their strategy of signing top young prospects from across the globe to develop them into future first-team stars.
Nduka, regarded as one of the most gifted players in his age group, will begin with Arsenal’s under-16 and under-18 sides.
He is expected to continue his development within the Hale End system, which has produced many exciting players in recent years.
Brighton and Hove Albion, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers, also showed interest, but Arsenal managed to win the race for his signature.
Nduka had already made his debut for Charlton’s under-18s and also earned a call-up for England’s under-15 squad.
Track record at Charlton
The 15-year-old made his Charlton under-18 debut in a 2-1 defeat to Watford, coming on late in the contest.
He was also involved in England’s under-15 training sessions, showcasing his potential on the international stage at a very young age.
Nduka played an important role for Charlton during the 2023 Madrid Cup, scoring a crucial goal against Spartak Trnava in the group stage.
That strike helped Charlton progress to the quarter-finals, further raising his reputation among coaches and scouts alike.
In 2024, he represented Charlton’s under-15s in the Valley Gold Academy Crossbar Challenge, underlining his growing status at youth level.
Style and future prospects
Nduka is eligible to represent both England and Nigeria at international level, giving him two pathways for his future career.
The youngster is a technically gifted attacking midfielder, known for his creativity, quick feet, and ability to handle pressure on the ball.
He is capable of dictating tempo in central midfield, delivering progressive passes, and supporting both attacking and defensive phases.
These qualities mirror the style of football encouraged at Arsenal’s Hale End academy, currently overseen by academy manager Per Mertesacker.
Breaking into Arsenal’s under-18s may be challenging, but at just 15 years old, Nduka has ample time to develop his game.
His signing highlights Arsenal’s continued commitment to securing promising talent, ensuring the club’s future remains strong in midfield creativity.
