Arsenal have received a huge boost regarding the severity of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard’s latest injury, as neither is believed to be serious.

The Gunners have commenced the new campaign with the ambition of finally becoming the Premier League champions. They have even enjoyed a promising start, accumulating six points from two games without conceding any goals.

Following a narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the opening game, they thrashed Leeds United 5-0 last weekend. Viktor Gyokeres and Jurrien Timber scored a brace, while Saka netted the other one.

However, the joy of this impressive victory was overshadowed by the Saka and Odegaard’s injuries. The Norwegian was taken off before the interval with a shoulder issue, while Saka was substituted very early in the second half with a hamstring problem.

Thankfully, on Caught Offside, Charles Watts claims that the injuries of Saka and Odegaard aren’t anything serious, and there is a ‘sense of relief’ for Arsenal and the coaching staff after the results of their issues came. Arsenal and the players were very concerned immediate aftermath of the injuries.

Saka won’t be selected for this weekend’s huge Premier League encounter against Liverpool, while he won’t link up with the England squad for the upcoming two games.

Huge injury boosts

There is uncertainty whether he would be available for the Nottingham Forest game just after the international break. But he will likely be ready to feature against Manchester City in the following weekend.

On the other hand, it isn’t clear yet whether Odegaard would be available for selection against Liverpool.

Following Arsenal’s decision to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea, questions were raised regarding the necessity of spending big money on him. However, he will now become a very important player for Mikel Arteta this weekend.

On the other hand, the Gunners have recently signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, and he is comfortable playing in the CAM and left flank. Therefore, he might be able to provide cover for Odegaard should he eventually not be able to start.

Arsenal have signed seven new players by spending £270m this summer; moreover, they are working to sign Piero Hincapié from Bayer Leverkusen. So, they now have proper depth in every department to find success, although they have already faced a few injury problems early on this term.
