Arsenal monitoring Sevilla winger Dodi Lukebakio

By on August 25, 2025

Arsenal are among the clubs showing interest in Sevilla forward Dodi Lukebakio, according to reports from Spanish outlet Diario Nervion.

The Gunners have been busy this summer, bringing in several high-profile signings.

Mikel Arteta’s squad has welcomed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Nørgaard, Cristhian Mosquera, Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyökeres and Eberechi Eze.

These additions have strengthened the team, but Arsenal remain active in the market as we approach the final week of the window.

Arsenal could make a move for Lukebakio

Despite their recent signings, Arsenal are still looking for extra quality in attack. The club are now eyeing Belgian winger Lukebakio, who currently plays for Sevilla.

The 27-year-old mainly features on the right flank but can also operate on the left. He has also played as a centre forward on occasions, which offers Arteta flexibility in attack.

Lukebakio is a quick and skilful winger who thrives on pace and sharp finishing. He often cuts inside from the flank to unleash strong shots with his left foot.

His ability in transition makes him dangerous on the break, while his dribbling and unpredictability keep defenders under constant pressure.

This versatility could make him a useful option for the manager. Lukebakio is valued at around £17.3 million on Transfermarkt.

However, Sevilla could demand a higher fee for the Belgian international. Reports suggest the Spanish club need to raise funds to ease financial pressure. Selling Lukebakio could help them achieve that.

Competition for the Belgian forward

Arsenal may need to move players out before making an official approach. Reports from Fabrizio Romano claim defender Jakub Kiwior could leave for Porto.

That transfer could help the club free up space in the squad.

The Gunners are not alone in this chase. Everton and AC Milan have also shown interest in the Sevilla man.

However, Lukebakio is believed to be reluctant about leaving Spain at this stage.

The Belgian forward had a strong campaign for Sevilla last season. He scored 11 goals and registered one assist in the 2024/25 La Liga season.

This term, he has already scored once, showing he can still make an impact for the club. Arsenal will weigh their options in the coming weeks.

If Sevilla lower their demands, a deal could become realistic before the transfer window closes.
