Arsenal reach agreement to sign Cristhian Mosquera
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Valencia to sign Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano.
The club has been focused on adding depth and quality to their squad this summer, as Mikel Arteta aims to build a strong and competitive team.
Mosquera becomes the latest addition to a defensive line that already includes William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and Ben White.
At just 21 years old, the Spanish centre-back has impressed with his performances in La Liga and has now caught the attention of the North London side.
Arsenal have agreed to pay £13 million for the defender, with further add-ons expected to raise the total package to just under £17 million.
Mosquera has now been spotted at the airport as he prepares to fly to London to undergo his medical and complete his move to Arsenal.

Mosquera only wanted Arsenal
Valencia were keen to extend Mosquera’s contract and offered him a fresh deal, but the player had already made up his mind.
He turned down the renewal and instead opted to commit his future to Arsenal, agreeing personal terms on a five-year contract.
The Gunners see Mosquera as a player with great potential and one who can provide reliable cover and competition in the back line.
Once all formalities are done, he is expected to join Arsenal’s pre-season tour and start training with his new teammates.
Arteta is keen to integrate new signings early, and Mosquera’s arrival could give him more options during the club’s upcoming matches.
This signing further underlines Arsenal’s ambition to build a deep squad capable of challenging across all competitions next season.
The Gunners are not done in the market yet and are likely to pursue more signings in the coming weeks.
Mosquera’s addition is seen as a smart long-term move that brings youth, physicality, and tactical awareness into the team’s defensive unit.
He joins a growing list of young players Arteta and the club are building around, with the aim of securing future success.
