Arsenal face Bayern battle for Eberechi Eze

By on July 15, 2025

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Eberechi Eze have been dealt a blow as they now face stiff competition from Bayern Munich, according to a report by The Sun.

The Bundesliga giants are said to be considering a move for the Crystal Palace attacker after Jamal Musiala suffered a serious leg injury.

Musiala recently picked up a broken leg and dislocated ankle, which will keep him out for a lengthy period.

In response, Bayern have turned their attention to Eze as they look to boost their attacking options this summer.

Eze is among the most admired players at Arsenal, with the North London club reportedly holding discussions with his camp in recent weeks.

However, they are yet to make a formal offer for the 27-year-old, who has a release clause worth £68 million in his Palace contract.

Eze top priority

The interest in Eze comes after a standout campaign with Crystal Palace. He scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions last season.

The playmaker also netted the winning goal in the FA Cup final, helping Palace secure the trophy.

His efforts at club level earned him further international recognition, and he scored his first goal for England in a 3-0 victory against Latvia back in March.

Bayern are looking to strengthen their squad under new manager Vincent Kompany.

The German club signed Michael Olise from Palace last summer and may now look to bring in his former team-mate to reunite the pair in Bavaria.

Eze remains a top priority for Arsenal, but the emergence of Bayern as a contender complicates their chances.

The Gunners must now act quickly if they want to stay ahead in the chase.

Mikel Arteta’s side are still active in the transfer market and see Eze as a perfect fit for their system.

However, with Bayern showing serious intent, Arsenal must move fast or risk losing out on a key target.
