Arsenal to table formal offer for Eberechi Eze
Arsenal are expected to make a formal approach for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners are looking to bring in fresh faces this summer to boost their squad. Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Eze has emerged as one of their top targets. The England international had a standout campaign under Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace.
He played a key role in helping the Eagles lift their first major trophy. His performances across the season have drawn praise from fans and pundits alike.
The midfielder scored the only goal in the final against Manchester City. That proved enough to seal a famous win for Palace.
Eze open to joining Mikel Arteta’s side
Jacobs claims that Arsenal have already held ‘positive talks’ with Eze’s camp. The player is open to making the switch to the Emirates.
Arsenal are now expected to follow that up with a formal approach to Crystal Palace in the coming days.

Eze is seen as the type of player who fits Arteta’s system. He brings creativity, goals, and the ability to carry the ball forward.
The 27-year-old registered 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions last season. His numbers reflect his all-round impact in the final third.
Eze currently has a release clause of £60 million in his contract. That fee could rise to £68 million depending on add-ons.
Palace are aware of the interest in their star man. They remain hopeful of keeping him but may be powerless if Arsenal trigger his clause.
Arteta is looking to add more goal threats from midfield. He wants to reduce the pressure on his main attackers in tight games.
The Gunners have already identified key areas to strengthen. Eze appears to be one of their first major targets in that plan.
With the player willing to join and Arsenal ready to make a move, a deal could take shape soon.
