Myles Lewis-Skelly signs long-term contract with Arsenal
Arsenal have completed the contract extension of Myles Lewis-Skelly, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano.
The 18-year-old midfielder has committed his long-term future to the club after an impressive first season with the senior squad.
Lewis-Skelly broke into Mikel Arteta’s team last campaign and quickly became one of the most exciting young players at the club.
Though he is naturally a midfielder, the youngster was regularly used as a left-back to provide cover during the season.
Despite playing in an unfamiliar position, he showed maturity and consistency across all competitions.
He made 42 appearances in total for Arsenal, scoring once and providing three assists in what was his breakthrough year.
The new deal reflects the club’s belief in his development and their plans to keep him at the heart of their project.

Youngster makes England history on dream debut
Lewis-Skelly’s performances also earned him recognition on the international stage with a senior England call-up.
He was handed his debut by new manager Thomas Tuchel during a World Cup qualifier against Albania on 21 March 2025.
The Arsenal star scored in the match, becoming the youngest player ever to score on his senior England debut.
At just 18 years and 176 days, he broke Marcus Rashford’s previous record of 18 years and 209 days.
His goal helped England to a 2–0 win and marked a perfect start to his international career.
At club level, he was also nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Season award, alongside teammate Ethan Nwaneri.
The Gunners see Lewis-Skelly as a long-term figure in their midfield, with Mikel Arteta known to value his work ethic and versatility.
With Champions League football and major honours in sight, the club are building for the future.
Lewis-Skelly will hope to continue his progress next season and play a vital role in Arsenal’s push for silverware.
Having secured his new deal, the teenager can now focus fully on helping the Gunners reach new heights.
