Arsenal are showing strong interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports from Defensa Central.

Manager Mikel Arteta wants to add fresh legs to his midfield as he prepares for the 2025–26 season.

The club finished second in the Premier League for the third straight year.

With changes expected in the squad this summer, Arsenal have begun shortlisting options to bolster the middle of the park.

Italy international Jorginho has already left the club to join Brazilian side Flamengo on a free transfer.

Another experienced player, Thomas Partey, is also expected to leave the Emirates when his contract expires as talks over an extension have stalled.

Arsenal are already close to signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. The Spanish midfielder has travelled to London to finalise the deal.

But the club do not plan to stop there as Arteta sees Camavinga as a perfect fit for his style of play.

Real Madrid not open to sale despite Arsenal interest

Camavinga is one of the brightest young midfielders in Europe and a key player at Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old has been praised for his passing, energy and composure on the ball.

Arteta is convinced that these qualities make him the ideal man to fill Partey’s role.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer around £50 million to try and tempt Madrid into talks, as per Defensa Central.

However, the Spanish giants are not planning to let Camavinga leave. They still view him as an important part of their plans heading into the new season.

Real Madrid aim to win back the La Liga title from Barcelona after missing out last term. As a result, they are unlikely to entertain any bids for the Frenchman this summer.

Still, Arsenal are ready to test their resolve and see if a deal can be struck.

The north London club remain hopeful as they try to build a stronger and more balanced squad.

With Zubimendi almost in, Camavinga is now the next name on their midfield wishlist.
