By on May 12, 2025

The Allianz Arena in Munich will host 75,000 fans with Champions League final tickets as Inter Milan and PSG are set to clash for the 2025 UEFA Champions League.

After months of enthralling encounters, Europe has its finalists. Inter Milan last won the UEFA Champions League in 2010 and came close to winning it in 2023, but lost to Manchester City.

PSG is on a quest for its first-ever European title. The side made the final in 2020 but couldn’t go the distance and lost to a strong Bayern Munich outfit.

In 2025, the spectrum has changed. Inter Milan is playing exceptional attacking football, and their intent to win is high. In 2025, PSG will look like the best team they’ve ever assembled, with a mix of young and experienced players.

It is all set to be an evenly poised game, and both teams will play for everything.

Here’s all you need to know about the 2025 Champions League final.

Road to the Final

PSG will face Inter Milan in the all-important final.

Inter were the first side to get their Champions League final tickets in the decider courtesy of their incredible 7-6 aggregate victory over Barcelona in the semi-finals.

The following night, Paris joined them thanks to a 3-1 overall success against Arsenal.

Where is the 2025 Champions League final?

The highlight of European football’s club calendar returns to Munich for the first time since 2012, when Chelsea defied home advantage to beat Bayern on penalties.

It was one of the historic finals the tournament has ever seen, as Chelsea carved a win out of nowhere.

It was 1-0 until the 88th minute, when Didier Drogba’s goal changed the tide for the Blues. It forced extra time and, then, penalties.

Completed on 30 April 2005, the Munich Football Arena is located on Werner-Heisenberg-Allee and belongs to Bayern München. It staged four games at UEFA EURO 2020, and since it was also a venue for UEFA EURO 2024, it became the first stadium in history to host matches in consecutive UEFA European Championships. Its capacity for that tournament was 66,000.

Will there be extra time and penalties in the Champions League final?

If scores are level at the end of normal time, two 15-minute periods of extra time are played. If one of the teams scores more goals than the other during extra time, that team is declared the winner. If scores remain level after extra time, the winners are determined by a penalty shoot-out.

Where will the other 2025 finals be held?

  • 2025 Europa League final: San Mamés Stadium, Bilbao, Spain
  • 2025 Conference League final: Stadion Wrocław, Wroclaw, Poland
  • 2025 Women’s Champions League final: Estádio José Alvalade, Lisbon, Portugal

What do the Champions League winners get?

The current UEFA Champions League trophy, which stands 73.5cm tall and weighs 7.5kg, will be presented to the winners.

If they have not qualified via their domestic competition, the 2024/25 winners also gain a place in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

They will also earn the right to play against the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.

PSG President Awards 600 Free Tickets for Staff

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has announced a generous gesture for the club’s 600-strong staff, rewarding them for reaching the Champions League final.

Following their 3-1 aggregate victory over Arsenal, Al-Khelaifi confirmed that every staff member will receive free tickets and travel to Munich for the final against Inter on May 31.

In a heartfelt letter to staff, Al-Khelaifi stressed the importance of collective efforts in the club’s success.

He stated that the staff will also receive a portion of the performance bonus, which is usually reserved for first-team players.

This action shows the president’s appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the entire PSG family.

Xabi Alonso To Replace Ancelotti

Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso has confirmed that he will depart the Bundesliga club at the end of the season. This will end a three-year spell at the club that brought unrivalled success.

At a press conference on Friday, the Spaniard revealed that he would be stepping down from his role at Leverkusen but would not confirm if he would be the next Real Madrid manager. The 43-year-old head coach is widely expected to replace Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital but refused to be drawn on specifics about his future. Reports in Spain suggest that Alonso has agreed to a three-year deal with the Madrid club.

“This week, the club and I have agreed that these two games are going to be my last two games as Bayer Leverkusen coach,” said Alonso in the press conference.

“Now is the right moment to announce it because we have always had this good communication with the club, and now that we have clarity, it is the right moment to say that it is a moment with mixed emotions. I’m not going to talk about the future because we know we wanted to have a proper farewell on Sunday for some players and me.”

Appointed a few weeks into the 2022/23 season with the team sitting just above the Bundesliga relegation zone, Alonso quickly instilled tactical discipline and confidence, steering Leverkusen to a sixth-place finish and European qualification in his debut season.

In the following season, Alonso led Leverkusen to unprecedented success.

Real Madrid fans will hope that Alonso has the likes to turn this team around and allow Real Madrid to win back their Champions League final tickets next season.
