Arsenal are reportedly planning to make an ambitious swoop to sign Real Madrid trio Rodrygo Goes, Arda Guler and Eduardo Camavinga, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The Gunners have been inconsistent in the Premier League this season, so they are set to miss out on winning the title once again. In the last two seasons, Manchester City pipped them, but this term, Liverpool are going to win it comprehensively.
However, the North London club have been excellent in the Champions League and have reached the semi-final. They overcame Real Madrid’s challenge in the previous round and will now face off against Paris Saint-Germain. Therefore, Arsenal can still end the campaign with a big silverware.
Now, Fichajes claim that Arsenal are planning to bolster the squad this summer to finally win the Premier League title next season and want to reinforce the attacking department and the engine room. They want Rodrygo for the frontline and Camavinga and Guler for the midfield.
With Jorginho set to leave as a free agent this summer, Mikel Arteta’s side believe Camavinga would be an excellent option to replace the former Chelsea man.
Guler, Rodrygo & Camavinga to Arsenal
However, purchasing the trio won’t be straightforward for the North London club as Real Madrid don’t want to sell them and would only change their stance should they receive an unrefusable proposal.
Rodrygo is valued at around £85m by Transfermarkt and still has three years left in his current contract. On the other hand, Guler has a contract until 2029 with Los Blancos and is valued at around £38m by Transfermarkt.
Camavinga has four years left in his existing deal and is valued at around £60m. Therefore, the trio’s combined valuation is £183m.
Arsenal already have a pretty strong squad and need a prolific striker. They need to prioritise purchasing a new centre-forward before looking at options to strengthen other positions.
However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Emirates club eventually make a concrete approach to lure Rodrygo, Camavinga and Guler away from Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in the upcoming transfer window.
Meanwhile, following a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace midweek, Arsenal have a weekend break before taking on PSG in the Champions League semi-final first leg next week.
