Arsenal are reportedly showing a strong interest in signing Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, as per Caught Offside.

After ranking through Wolverhampton Wanderers’s youth system, the 25-year-old went out on loan to a few clubs before moving to City Ground permanently back in 2022.

The Englishman helped the Reds survive relegation in the last two seasons but has been guiding them to qualify for the Champions League by finishing in the top four this term.

Forest are currently third in the Premier League table with 51 points from 28 games, sitting four points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester City.

Now, Caught Offside claim that having been impressed by Gibbs-White’s recent performances, Arsenal have registered a firm interest in signing him.

However, purchasing him might not be easy for Mikel Arteta’s side as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have no intention of letting him leave the club and are planning to hold talks with him to extend his current contract. But, they could change their stance if they receive an offer of around £50m.

Gibbs-White to Arsenal

Along with Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City are also in this race. So, the midfielder isn’t short of potential suitors.

After narrowly missing out on winning the Premier League title in the last two seasons, Arsenal are looking set to lose yet another title race this campaign.

Therefore, it has been reported that Arsenal are planning to reinforce the squad this summer to take the next step in their rebuild under Arteta’s guidance.

Signing a new striker is said to be their priority but bolstering the attacking midfield position might be a shrewd acquisition as apart from Martin Odegaard, they don’t have any top-level options in this area.

Gibbs-White has showcased glimpses of his qualities in the Premier League in recent times and considering he is set to enter the prime stage of his career, this might be the right time for him to take the next step in his career.

Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the North London club will eventually make a concrete approach to lure him to the Emirates Stadium in the upcoming transfer window.
