Arsenal are reportedly preparing a £48 million offer for highly-rated Spanish winger Nico Williams, according to reports from Fichajes.

The move is aimed at strengthening the Gunners’ attack as Mikel Arteta looks to add depth to his forward line.

Arteta has been a long-time admirer of the Spanish international, who played a key role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph.

Williams dazzled during the tournament, scoring crucial goals, including the opener in the final that helped secure the trophy for his country.

Arteta is eager to bring in reinforcements as injuries to key players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have left Arsenal short of attacking options. Williams has reportedly emerged as a top target, with the Gunners keen to trigger his £48 million release clause, as per Fichajes.

Despite enduring a quiet season so far, with just one goal and three assists, Williams remains a highly rated player. Known for his blistering pace, skill, and creativity, the 24-year-old winger is seen as someone who could bring a new dynamic to Arsenal’s attack.

Nico Williams to Arsenal

The Gunners were interested in signing Williams during the summer, with Barcelona also in the race. However, the winger chose to stay at Athletic Club, where he continues his development.
