Confirmed line-ups: Inter Milan vs Arsenal – Odegaard returns, Merino starts
Arsenal are back in Champions League action as we take on Inter Milan at the San Siro tonight.
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Arsenal as we’ve fallen behind in the Premier League title race having picked up just one point from our last three games. Mikel Arteta will be hoping to get back to winning ways in Italy this evening.
The boss has been handed a fresh blow with Declan Rice ruled out of the trip to Milan after picking up an ankle injury during the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Saturday.
However, there is some positive news as Martin Odegaard returns to the squad after recovering from an ankle problem that’s kept him out for almost two months. The Norwegian international is only fit enough for a place on the bench tonight but hopefully we see Odegaard play some minutes in the second half.
Ben White is fit to start after coming through his substitute appearance at the weekend. He starts at right-back with Thomas Partey moving into midfield alongside Mikel Merino.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli occupy the wing positions once again with Leandro Trossard supporting Kai Havertz up front.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Merino, Saka, Martinelli; Trossard, Havertz.
Subs: Neto, Setford, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Robinson, Lewis-Skelly, Jorginho, Nwaneri, Ødegaard, Butler-Oyedeji, Sterling, Jesus.
Inter Milan

Subs: Di Gennaro, Josep Martinez, Arnautovic, huram, Acerbi, Buchanan, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Barella, Dimarco, Bastoni
