Confirmed line-ups: Porto vs Arsenal – Trossard & Havertz start for Gunners
Arsenal are in Portugal to take on Porto in the first leg of our Champions League last-16 tie.
Unfortunately, several players have been unable to make the trip due to injury with Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko all failing to prove their fitness in time.
Therefore, Mikel Arteta doesn’t have too much room to rotate his squad tonight. David Raya keeps his place in goal while Ben White continues at right-back. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes will be looking to continue their superb partnership in the middle of Arsenal’s back four. Jacub Kiwior has performed well at left-back in the absence of Zinchenko and Tomiyasu, and he retains his place this evening.
Declan Rice is in the form of his life and he’ll be hoping to put in a top display as he tastes Champions League knockout football for the first time. Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal once again while Kai Havertz keeps his place amid a great run of form.
Bukayo Saka comes into the game having scored four goals in his last two appearances. The England international starts on the right flank once again with Gabriel Martinelli lining-up on the opposite side of attack.
Leandro Trossard also keeps his place in the Arsenal side with Jesus out injured, while Eddie Nketiah is on the bench along with the likes of Reiss Nelson and the fit-again Fabio Vieira.
