Arsenal could reportedly look to sign Leicester City star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall next summer, as per the transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Gunners have seemingly been looking to sign a new midfielder as a potential replacement for Thomas Partey. It has been suggested that Douglas Luiz is the primary option for Mikel Arteta’s side to reinforce their engine room but they are also interested in Amadou Onana and Martin Zubimendi as alternative targets in-case they miss out on signing the South American.

However, speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones has now reported that Dewsbury-Hall is another player who would be on Arsenal’s radar to reinforce the engine room so, the North London club could opt to make a swoop for him next summer.

However, the journalist claims that Dewsbury-Hall might not be a priority target for Arsenal but the Englishman would be a shrewd signing for Arteta’s side if they purchase him during the off-season.

Jones further claims that apart from a new midfielder, Arsenal could look to purchase a new striker and a winger so, it appears the Emirates club may spend big once again next summer.

Dewsbury-Hall to Arsenal

Jones said:

“Dewsbury-Hall, a player that’s creative, definitely somebody that I could see that would be on their radar. I know for a fact that as well as being open to signing a new striker, they also feel like they might need another wide player.

“I think a creator like Dewsbury Hall who can be versatile and who can bring a spark to games. It’s not very often these players become available. I don’t think he’d be top of Arsenal’s list to be honest, but he’s certainly somebody that would fit what they’re trying to do under Arteta.”

The 25-year-old – valued at around £26m by Transfermarkt – has been enjoying a stellar campaign for Leicester this season, scoring 10 goals and registering as many assists in 29 appearances in the Championship. The midfielder has been playing a key role in the Foxes’ quest for promotion. They are currently at the top of the league with 72 points from 30 games.

So, it seems after being impressed by the Englishman’s recent eye-catching performances, Arsenal have registered their interest in signing him. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually opt to sign Dewsbury-Hall next summer to strengthen the engine room.
