Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Lens – Havertz and Jesus start for Gunners

By on November 29, 2023

Arsenal can secure top spot in Group B with a positive result against Lens at the Emirates Stadium tonight.

Mikel Arteta has recalled David Raya between the sticks after he missed the 1-0 win over Brentford at the weekend having been ineligible to play against his parent club. Aaron Ramsdale drops back to the bench.

Gabriel Magalhaes keeps his place alongside William Saliba in the middle of Arsenal’s back four while Takehiro Tomiyasu continues at right-back. That means Ben White remains on the bench with Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back.

Declan Rice will be looking to continue his excellent form as he starts in midfield once again. Martin Odegaard made his return to the Arsenal starting eleven at the weekend and the Norwegian international keeps his place tonight.

Kai Havertz is handed a recall after coming off the bench to score a late winner against Brentford on Saturday. Leandro Trossard is the man to make way as the Belgian drops to the bench.

Bukayo Saka starts once again on the right flank with Gabriel Martinelli continuing on the left side of Arsenal’s attack. Gabriel Jesus starts up front so Eddie Nketiah has to settle for a place among the substitutes.

Youngsters Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are also on the bench for the Gunners tonight.
