Arsenal are reportedly ‘very interested’ in signing Norwegian star Antonio Nusa in the upcoming transfer window, as per the Dutch outlet Voetbalkrant.

The 18-year-old joined Club Brugge back in 2021 from Norwegian club Stabæk Fotball in a £2m deal. Upon moving to the Jan Breydel Stadium, the youngster has burst onto the scene after displaying promising performances in the Pro League in recent times.

The forward’s eye-catching displays for Brugge have been awarded with a call-up to the Norway senior national team in the recently concluded international break. He made his debut for his country against Jordon before starting in the next game versus Georgia in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, scoring a solitary goal and registering three assists in these two appearances.

After being impressed by Nusa’s recent performances, Several clubs around Europe have already registered their interest in signing him, including Arsenal.

According to the report by Voetbalkrant, the Gunners are ‘very interested’ in purchasing Nusa and they have already made contact ahead of a potential move in the upcoming window.

Nusa to Arsenal

The report further claims that Brugge have already rejected a £26m offer from Chelsea this summer to sell Nusa. So, the Belgian side are expected to demand more than that next year and following his impressive displays on the international stage, the youngster’s valuation has now increased. So, Arsenal will have to spend big to acquire Nusa’s service in the upcoming window should they formalise their interest.

However, the report states that Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and Liverpool are also keen on securing his signature. So, the North London club are set to face stiff competition from those clubs in getting any potential deal done for the Norway international.

Nusa is a right-footed left winger. He is quick, technically sound, has the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, can create chances for fellow attackers, has the efficiency of finishing off his chances and also works extremely hard without possession.

The Brugge star is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a world-class player going forward. So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal with a view to the long-term future if they sign him over the coming months.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Gunners eventually opt to make a concrete approach to secure his signature in the upcoming window.
