Arsenal backed to continue excellent form against Fulham

Arsenal will look to maintain their perfect start to the new Premier League season when they take on Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Gunners are the only side to have won each of their opening three matches having secured impressive wins over Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bournemouth.

Mikel Arteta’s men have an excellent chance to extend that winning run to four games when they welcome newly-promoted Fulham to north London this weekend.

Arsenal sit top of the table – two points clear of defending champions Manchester City – so they’ll be confident of maintaining that position with a win at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Fulham make the short trip across London in positive mood themselves following their solid start to life back in the top flight following their promotion from the Championship.

The Cottagers sit seventh in the division after collecting five points from their three matches, which included impressive draws with Liverpool and Wolves before beating Brentford last weekend.

Betting odds

There is sure to be plenty of interest in this game on the betting markets and websites will be vying for your business. We can link fun88 and other betting sites to various welcome bonuses and offers, so it’s worth looking around to see what’s available before placing any bets.

Arsenal are the heavy 3/10 pre-match favourites with the bookmakers to win on Saturday. If you think there will be an upset, you can back Fulham to take away all three points at odds of 9/1 while the draw is available at 9/2.

However, Arsenal are expected to win and Gabriel Jesus will be the main danger man for the hosts. The Brazilian has enjoyed an excellent start to life in London following his move from Man City and punters will be eyeing him to score the opening goal at 16/5.

The Gunners should have too much firepower for Fulham to handle and a 3-0 home win looks good at 8/1. If we add Gabriel to score first in a 3-0 Arsenal win, the odds increase to a tempting 28/1.

Team news

Arsenal have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from with Reiss Nelson the only major absentee. The attacker is still recovering from a thigh injury that he sustained in pre-season.

Summer signing Fabio Vieira is back in contention to make his debut after building up his fitness following a foot injury. Although he’ll have to settle for a place on the bench this weekend.

Emile Smith Rowe is pushing for a start after returning to fitness but he’s also expected to be named on the bench with Arteta selecting an unchanged line-up for the third consecutive game.

As for Fulham, Neeskens Kebano will be assessed due to a knock but Harry Wilson and Manor Solomon are certain to miss out.

Prediction

Arsenal are full of confidence and playing some of the best football we’ve seen from them in years, so they’ll be expected to ease to victory this weekend. Fulham will no doubt give a good account of themselves but we’re predicting a routine win for the Gunners. Arsenal 3-0 Fulham.
