Journalist claims Yeremy Pino would be keen to join Arsenal
Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino would be interested in joining Arsenal this summer as per the transfer journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The 19-year-old is one of the options that the Gunners are seemingly exploring in the transfer market to strengthen their flanks this summer. Apart from the Spaniard, Cody Gakpo, Moussa Diaby and Pedro Neto have also been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks.
The Spain International enjoyed a productive campaign last term with the Yellow Submarines, scoring six goals and notching up four assists in 31 La Liga appearances. The winger’s most impressive performance came against Espanyol in the league last February where he scored four past the Blanquiazules.
Meanwhile, speaking to GiveMeSport, O’Rourke has suggested that Pino would be attracted to joining Arsenal this summer.
The journalist also says that most players around the world would be tempted to join a Premier League club. Arsenal are currently on the upward trajectory under Mikel Arteta’s guidance and the north London club have done some very good transfer business in recent years.
Arsenal interested in Yeremy Pino
When asked if Pino would join Arsenal, O’Rourke said:
“Yeah, I think so. Most players, whatever league they’re playing in, are really attracted to come into the Premier League, and I think Arsenal are a club going in the right direction right now under Mikel Arteta. They’ve done some good business in the last few transfer windows and the team is improving.”
Yeremy Pino would be an excellent acquisition for Arsenal, given the 19-year-old is considered one of the best young forwards in Spain and the world. However, the teenager isn’t the finished article and needs time to develop.
Mikel Arteta has done an excellent job with talents like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. The Spanish boss has helped them grow in very little time and they are now becoming an integral part of the 40-years-old’s team. Therefore, Pino would also benefit under Arteta’s tutelage and can flourish at the Emirates if he were to join the club this summer.
So, I believe signing Pino will be a shrewd decision by Arsenal and if they can get the player for a fee of as little as £38m – as has previously been reported that Villarreal would ask that sum for the youngster this summer – then they should get this deal done quickly without wasting much time.
