Arsenal have confirmed on Arsenal.com that Thomas Partey is travelling to the United States as part of a 33-man pre-season tour squad.

Partey hasn’t been seen training with the squad for over a week and missed the win over Nurnberg last Friday amid speculation surrounding his involvement in an on-going police investigation.

The Times reported earlier today that Partey would miss Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the US along with youngster Folarin Balogun and goalkeeper Bernd Leno. Balogun is expected to leave on loan this summer while Leno is close to joining Fulham on a permanent deal.

However, in a surprise twist, Arsenal have confirmed on the official website this afternoon that Partey HAS travelled with the rest of the squad for our pre-season tour of the US.

Leno and Balogun are also included in the 33-man travelling squad along with young defender Reuell Walters. However, highly-rated midfielder Charlie Patino misses out.

Summer signing Gabriel Jesus will take part in his first pre-season tour as an Arsenal player having joined from Man City earlier this month. Marquinhos is also on the plane along with Fabrio Vieira and Matt  Turner so all four of Arsenal’s new signings are on their way to the States.

Arsenal fly out of London this afternoon and will land in Baltimore for the first leg of a 10-day tour. Our first game will be against Everton at midnight UK time on Saturday night.

The following day the squad will fly to Florida to face Orlanda City next Wednesday [12.30 UK kick-off] before wrapping up the tour against Chelsea on Saturday 23rd, kicking off at 1am UK time.

Here is the confirmed 33-man squad, as announced on Arsenal.com:

Goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale, Bernd Leno, Matt Turner, Arthur Okonkwo, Alex Runarsson
