Confirmed line-ups: Man Utd vs Arsenal – Elneny and Martinelli start
Arsenal can move into the top four with a win when we take on Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening.
Mikel Arteta has handed a rare start to Mohamed Elneny as the unfancied Egyptian replaces Albert Sambi Lokonga in midfield. Thomas Partey will be looking to replicate the performance he put in during Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Manchester United in this fixture last season as he starts alongside Elneny.
Bukayo Saka is in the squad but he’s only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench after picking up a muscle injury against Newcastle. Gabriel Martinelli is rewarded for his fine goal at the weekend with a start in attack.
Nuno Tavares keeps his place at left-back so Kieran Tierney remains on the Arsenal bench this evening. Aaron Ramsdale continues in goal and he’ll be hoping to put-in another top class display between the sticks. Takehiro Tomiyasu retains his place at right-back while Ben White continues once again alongside Gabriel in the middle of the back four.
Emile Smith Rowe keeps his place in the Arsenal attack and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line up front. The Gabon hitman will be desperate to make up for his horror miss against Newcastle at the weekend.
Martin Odegaard starts in the No.10 role again so Alexandre Lacazette misses out. Nicolas Pepe and Eddie Nketiah are among the subs but interestingly Bernd Leno isn’t named in the squad so youngster Arthur Okonkwo is on the bench.
No surprises to see Cristiano Ronaldo recalled to start for Man Utd so we’ll have to keep him quiet.
Here are the teams for the game:
Man Utd
De Gea, Dalot, Telles, Lindelof, Maguire, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Sancho, Rashford, Ronaldo.
Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Jones, Mata, Martial, Greenwood, Lingard, Diallo, Van de Beek.

Subs: Okonkwo, Tierney, Saka, Lacazette, Maitland-Niles, Holding, Pépé, Lokonga, Nketiah.
