Arsenal are back on the south coast to take on Southampton for the second time in a matter of days.

Mikel Arteta is without Kieran Tierney as the defender has failed a late fitness test due to a muscle issue. Cedric Soares starts at left-back with Hector Bellerin keeping his place at right-back. Rob Holding partners David Luiz in defence with Gabriel among the subs.

Thomas Partey lines-up alongside Granit Xhaka in the Arsenal midfield while Emile Smith Rowe is recalled in the No.10 role. Nicolas Pepe is selected ahead of Gabriel Martinelli as the young Brazilian must settle for a place on the bench.

Bukayo Saka is recalled to start for the Gunners while Alexandre Lacazette leads the line up front. There is no Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he’s dealing with personal issues while Dani Ceballos is ruled out with a calf issue.
