Europa League group stage draw: Arsenal face trips to Ireland, Austria and Norway
Arsenal have been drawn to face Rapid Vienna, Molde and Dundalk in the group stages of the Europa League following today’s draw.
We endured a tough 2019/20 campaign and looked to have missed out on European qualification after finishing way down in eighth place in the Premier League table last season.
However, Mikel Arteta managed to salvage something from a shocking season as he guided us to the FA Cup with victory over Chelsea at Wembley and it booked our place in the group stages of the Europa League.
Arsenal were in Pot 1 and got placed in Group B where we will face a trip to Austria to face Rapid Vienna while we got Norwegian side Molde from Pot 3.
Irish side Dundalk finished off the group which should be relatively straightforward for Arsenal to navigate to book our places in the knockout rounds of the competition.
The good news is we don’t face any long-haul trips across Europe and Arsenal should be confident of wrapping-up the group with a couple of games to spare [hopefully!].
Elsewhere, Tottenham were drawn to face Ludogorets, LASK and Royal Antwerp while Leicester got Braga, AEK Athens and Zorya Luhansk. The full draw can be seen below…
