Arsenal can make a real statement by securing a positive result when we welcome Manchester City to the Emirates this afternoon.

Interim boss Freddie Ljungberg has rung the changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Standard Liege in the Europe League on Thursday night. Bernd Leno returns in goal while Sead Kolasinac and Calum Chambers are recalled in defence with Kostas Mavropanos making way.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts in the Arsenal attack after being on the bench in midweek while Lucas Torreira lines-up alongside Matteo Guendouzi in midfield. Granit Xhaka remains out with a concussion that he sustained at West Ham last week.

Nicolas Pepe is passed fit to start after recovering from a knee problem while Mesut Ozil is also recalled after being rested on Thursday night and Gabriel Martinelli join them in the Arsenal front line.
