FA Cup third round draw: Arsenal face tough Championship side at the Emirates
Arsenal have been drawn to face Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium in the third round of the FA Cup following this evenings draw.
Freddie Ljungberg is currently interim manager at Arsenal but we should have a new permanent boss in place by the time we welcome the Leeds to north London next month.
Leeds are currently sitting top of the Championship table and narrowly missed out on promotion last season so they’ll be an extremely tough game for us.
The last match between Arsenal and Leeds was in the third round of the FA Cup back in 2012 when Thierry Henry came off the bench to score a stunning winner upon his return to the club.
Eddie Nketiah is currenly enjoying a loan spell at Elland Road but FA ruled state he won’t be able to play against his parent club Arsenal so he won’t be involved in the game.
The match will be played on the 3-6th of January 2020.
The @EmiratesFACup third round draw has just taken place – and we'll be hosting @LUFC at Emirates Stadium!
