Terms agreed: Arsenal finalising deal to sign £27m international star

By on June 11, 2019

According to reports, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Yannick Carrasco and are putting the finishing touches on a deal to sign the £27m winger from Dalian Yifang this summer.

Carrasco was touted as a target for Arsenal during the January transfer window but we couldn’t strike a deal with Dalian Yifang so we eventually brought in Denis Suarez in a loan deal that turned out to be a disaster.

The Spaniard has obviously returned to Barcelona leaving Unai Emery back in the market for a winger this summer and Carrasco has once again emerged as a target with widespread media reports suggesting we’re in for the Belgian international.

The 25-year-old has been in China for the past 18 months after making a shock move from Atletico Madrid in January 2018 but he confirmed last week that he wants to return to Europe and Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad claim Arsenal have made an offer for his services.

The rumours have now intensified as Italian journalist Nicolo Schira says Arsenal have agreed terms with Carrasco and are thrashing out the finer details of a deal with Dalian Yifang.

Football London claim Carrasco is on the market for around £27m and I think he’d be an excellent piece of business if Arsenal could snap him up at that price in today’s market.

The Belgian winger was excellent during his time at Monaco and Madrid while he also performed well over in China. Throughout his career, he’s provided 57 goals and 52 assists in 263 appearances so he’d bring some much-needed creativity in the final third.

Carrasco is comfortable playing on either wing and he is about to enter the best years of his career so if he settles well in the Premier League, I think he’d be one of the signings of the summer if we can get this deal over the line.
