Unai Emery is without Laurent Koscielny as the defender is carrying a bruised foot so Shkodran Mustafi starts alongside Sokratis and Nacho Monreal in defence.
Granit Xhaka is ruled out with a groin problem so Matteo Guendouzi joins Aaron Ramsey in midfield with Lucas Torreira suspended. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is only fit for a place on the bench due to a temperature.
