Arsenal got back on track with a relatively comfortable 3-1 victory over Burnley this afternoon thanks largely to a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Mesut Ozil was recalled to the starting eleven and justified his selection inside the opening 15 minutes as he created the first goal with a stunning pass for Sead Kolasinac who set-up Aubameyang to make it 1-0.

The Gabon international doubled our lead after half time with a powerful finish and although Burnley pulled one back midway through the second half, we wrapped-up the win when Alex Iwobi fired home following some great work from Ozil.

Here my player ratings:

Leno 6/10 | Great save early on to keep it at 0-0 but had very little to do other than pick the ball out the net.

Maitland-Niles 6.5/10 | Saw a decent effort saved by Hart and was solid enough defensively.

Sokratis 8/10 | Enjoyed a battle with Ashley Barnes and was a rock at the back all afternoon. Great display.

Monreal 6/10 | Was having a solid game at centre-back until limping off towards the end of the first half. Let’s hope it’s not serious.

Kolasinac 8/10 | Superb performance. Lovely ball to set-up Auba for the opening goal and played a role in the build-up to his second. Was a constant threat down the wing. We’ve really missed him in recent games.

Xhaka 6/10 | Looked more comfortable early on when he was in midfield before moving in to centre-back when Monreal went off.

Elneny  5.5/10 | Lack of pace saw him caught out in possession a couple of times but was generally OK. Just don’t think he brings enough to the team.

Guendouzi 6/10 | Looked a little lost at times but did play a fine pass in the build-up to the second goal. Got a foot to the chest which should have led to a red card for Barnes before he scored.

Ozil 8/10 | Superb ball created the opening goal. Only Ozil could have played the pass. He then set-up Iwobi for his goal with another great move. His passing in the final third made us tick and he was the difference today. Such an important player offensively. Emery needs to get the best out of him consistently.

Lacazette 7/10 | Worked hard and set-up Auba for his second goal. Could get himself on the score-sheet though before being subbed in the second half.

Aubameyang 8/10 | Nice finish to break the deadlock before lashing home a powerful effort for 2-0. So clinical in front of goal to take him clear in the race for the Golden Boot.

Subs:

Lichtsteiner  6/10 | Doesn’t look comfortable playing in a back three but did a job.

Torreira  6/10 | Made a difference after replacing Elneny.

Iwobi  7/10 | Wrapped-up the game with a fine finish to make it 3-1.
