Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has poked fun at Mesut Ozil after catching the playmaker watching his own goal from Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Leicester City on his mobile phone.
Aubameyang took to Instagram today to show off his new expensive Ferrari super-car as he celebrates coming off the bench to score two goals during our victory over the Foxes on Monday night.
The Gabon international also took the opportunity to have a bit of fun at Ozil’s expense after filming the playmaker watching his goal against Leicester back on his mobile phone.
Mesut was having a post-match massage after the game and was watching a clip of his lovely finish on his mobile when Aubameyang caught him in the act. The striker accompanied his Instagram video with a speech bubble coming from Ozil’s head saying ‘I’m the best’.
Ozil should certainly be proud of his performance last night as he was outstanding. The 30-year-old grabbed a vital equaliser just before half time and inspired us to victory after the break.
His superb defence splitting pace created the second goal and he played a key role in the third with a flick, dummy and sensational assist teeing-up Aubameyang to make it 3-1.
Ozil takes just as much joy by assisting as he does scoring so no doubt he’s also watched a few re-runs of that third goal as it was simply breathtaking football by Unai Emery’s men.
