[Video] Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson scores superb goal on Hoffenheim debut
Arsenal wonderkid Reiss Nelson scored a wonderful goal on his debut for Hoffenheim today during their 2-1 defeat at Dusselfort.
Nelson has been on Arsenal’s books since he was 8 years old and has developed in to one of the most promising young attackers in British football since breaking in to the first team set-up last year.
The 18-year-old signed a new long-term contract last month but was sent out on loan to gain some much-needed first team experience and he decided to join close friend Jadon Sancho in Germany after agreeing a one-year deal with Hoffenheim.
Nelson has gotten off the a dream start in the Bundesliga as he came off the bench to score a superb equaliser in the 72nd minute against Dusselforf this afternoon.
The Arsenal youngster took a stunning first touch to control a loose ball in the box and beat his man before showing great composure to fire home from a tight angle to make it 1-1.

It was a lovely goal but unfortunately Nelson’s strike was in vain as Dusselforf scored the eventual winner from the penalty spot just a couple of minutes later to consign Hoffenheim to a 2-1 defeat.
However, it’s an encouraging start for Nelson so hopefully he can force his way in to their starting eleven and get some vital first team experience under his belt this season.
