[Video] Great news for Emery as Arsenal star steps-up injury comeback in training
Arsenal have been handed a timely boost as Laurent Koscielny has stepped-up his recovery from an Achilles injury by starting to do some ball work in training.
Koscielny hasn’t featured so far this season as he’s been on the sidelines since cruelly suffering a ruptured Achilles during the crucial second leg of our Europa League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid last season.
The 33-year-old has made great progress with his rehabilitation over the past few months and Koscielny made a surprise return to light outdoor training last month.
The centre-back has been working on his fitness with the coaching staff but he’s now taken a huge step in his recovery after starting to do some ball work on the training pitches at London Colney.
The official Arsenal Twitter account uploaded a video of Koscielny doing drills with the ball and he looked comfortable jogging and using both feet to pass and shoot.
Look who's been continuing his rehab at London Colney ?

It’s fantastic to see Kos doing so well but he still has a long way to go before he’ll be available for selection as he’s not expected to be fully fit until some point in November.
If he continues to progress well over the coming weeks he might be back in late October but whenever it is Koscielny’s return will be a huge boost to Unai Emery as our defence has been all over the place at times this season so we badly need our French star to sort things out at the back.
