Alexandre Lacazette scored twice as Arsenal beat West Ham 4-1 at the Emirates this afternoon in Arsene Wenger’s first game since announcing he’s leaving this summer.

Nacho Monreal opened the scoring with a fine volley before Mark Arnautovic levelled things up with a superb strike midway through the second half.

However, Aaron Ramsey made it 2-1 as his cross found it’s way in to the back of the net before a late Lacazette brace put the gloss on a 4-1 win.

Here are my ratings:

Ospina  6/10 | Should have caught a cross in the build up to their goal but otherwise solid enough.

Bellerin  6.6/10 | Heavily involved down the right side and even produced a couple of decent crosses.

Mustafi  5/10 | Another shaky performance from the German international. Upgrade needed next season.

Koscielny  7/10 | Solid throughout and held the defence together at times. Big night for him on Thursday.

Monreal  7/10 | Back among the goals with a lovely finish on the volley to open the scoring. Solid at the back.

Xhaka  7/10 | Continued his recent form with another good performance. Dictated play and made a few lovely passes.

Elneny  6/10 | Stretchered off with an ankle injury in the first half. Let’s hope it’s not serious.

Ramsey  7.5/10 | A relatively quiet first half but was excellent after the break. Scored the important second goal and assisted Lacazette for the fourth.

Iwobi  4/10 | Got in to some promising positions but once again his final ball was awful. Lacks composure when it’s needed.

Welbeck  6.5/10 | Forced Hart in to a fine save at 1-1 and played his part in the third goal.

Lacazette  7.5/10 | Scored a morale-boosting brace ahead of the Atletico Madrid clash. Made some great runs that weren’t found at times. Lots of goals in this lad if we give him the service.

Subs:

Maitland-Niles  6/10 | Booked for a late tackle but solid display in after replacing Elneny.

Aubameyang   6.5/10 | Assisted Lacazette for his first goal and played a part in the fourth.

We were pretty average for the majority of the game but a late burst that led to three goals saw us over the line to secure a much-needed win ahead of the Atletico game on Thursday…
