Team news: Arsenal handed quadruple boost but defender faces late fitness check
Arsenal have been handed a quadruple injury boost ahead of the visit of Stoke City this weekend but Sead Kolasinac will need to be assessed.
Jack Wilshere was ruled out of England’s recent friendlies with Holland and Italy after suffering a knee injury in training with the Three Lions last week.
The midfielder was sent back to London Colney to be assessed by Arsenal’s medical team but Wilshere was able to take part in full training yesterday.
And Steve Bould – who stood in for the ill Arsene Wenger at our pre-match press conference this morning – confirmed that Wilshere is fit to face Stoke on Sunday afternoon.
Bould also revealed that Alexandre Lacazette is back in contention after recovering from knee surgery that’s kept him on the sidelines since the defeat to Spurs at the start of February.
The French international hitman returned to training earlier this month and has build on his fitness during the international break so is available for selection this weekend.
There is also positive news on Aaron Ramsey as the midfielder has been in training this week after missing international duty with Wales having undergone a minor operation on a groin problem.
The midfielder is expected to be fit to face Stoke on Sunday afternoon while Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also in contention after overcoming a minor knock.
However, we could be without Kolasinac as the left-back is facing a late fitness check after picking up a knee injury during Bosnia’s draw with Senegal on Tuesday night.

Bouldy's also been talking about @LacazetteAlex…

So it looks like the Arsenal squad is in good health ahead of the Stoke game but it will be interesting to see what kind of team Arsene selects this weekend.
There’s no chance of us finishing in the top four and we welcome CSKA Moscow to the Emirates for the first leg of our Europa League quarter-final on Thursday so the boss might be tempted to rest some key players on Sunday.
