Arsene Wenger provides injury update on Laurent Koscielny

Arsene Wenger has provided an update on Laurent Koscielny after the defender was forced off during our 3-1 victory over AC Milan last night.
Kos once again skippered the side out at the Emirates against the Italian giants as we looked to book our place in the quarter finals of the Europa League.
However, the French international’s evening didn’t last long as he was forced off after just 10 minutes after picking up a back injury while challenging for a header.
Kos looked in discomfort as he limped off the pitch to be replaced by Calum Chambers and it seemed like the 32-year-old could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
However, it sounds like the injury isn’t as bad as it looked as Wenger confirmed after the game that Koscielny just got a kick on his back and they don’t expect the injury to be anything serious.
Wenger told Arsenal.com:
“He got a kick on his back. We don’t think it’s bad but he cramped up and he couldn’t go on.”
No doubt Kos will be checked over by the Arsenal medical team but he has two weeks to recover before our next game so I expect him to be available for the visit of Stoke on April 1st.
Thankfully we coped well without him last night as we eased to a 3-1 victory over Milan to book our place in today’s quarter final draw thanks to a 5-1 aggregate win.
