[Photos] Arsenal handed injury boost as key man returns to training ahead of Brighton
Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost as Jack Wilshere has returned to full training ahead of our trip to Brighton tomorrow afternoon.
Wilshere missed the defeat to Manchester City on Thursday night with a minor groin problem and was unable to train with the rest of the squad yesterday.
Arsene Wenger said during his team news update on Friday that Jack was undergoing further treatment and would only be available for selection against Brighton if he was passed fit to return to training today.
It looks like the midfielder has proven his fitness as Wilshere has been photographed training with the rest of the squad at London Colney this afternoon so we should expect him back in the squad tomorrow.
The only major absentees were Nacho Monreal as he continues to recover from a back injury, Alexandre Lacazette as he’s still working his way back from knee surgery and of course Santi Cazorla.
It will be interesting to see what kind of team Wenger selects as we have virtually no chance of finishing in the top four this season so the league should take a back seat to the Europa League in the priority list.
With the first leg of our last-16 clash away to AC Milan coming up on Thursday the boss may be tempted to rest some players at Brighton tomorrow.
