Arsenal team news: Aubameyang a fitness doubt for Everton game + Wilshere update
Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his press conference this morning and he’s provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Everton.
Unfortunately Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a doubt for the game as our club record signing has been suffering with a fever in recent days so he’ll be assessed at training today.
Jack Wilshere missed the defeat at Swansea on Tuesday night due to illness but the midfielder is expected to return this weekend and will be checked over at London Colney.
The only other fitness concern is Danny Welbeck and the forward is still not ready to make his comeback from a muscle injury that’s kept him out for the past few weeks.
Obviously Santi Cazorla is also out but I don’t think we’ll see him play again this season as he continues to recover from a long-term Achilles problem.
Wenger did give away one other piece of team news by confirming that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is in-line to make his full debut after coming off the bench at Swansea in midweek.
The boss told reporters:
Team: "Jack was sick and we will assess him today, hope he will be capable of being in the squad. Aubameyang was sick as well so we assess him. Apart from that Welbeck is not ready." #AFC
