Done deal: Arsenal confirm signing of Aubameyang in club record £56m deal
Arsenal have announced on Arsenal.com that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined the club in a club-record deal.
After weeks of negotiations with Borussia Dortmund we finally reached an agreement to sign the Gabon international last weekend.
Aubameyang was snapped leaving Dortmund airport on Tuesday where he travelled to London to finalise his switch to the Emirates.
The 28-year-old underwent his medical this morning and the club have now announced on the official website that Aubameyang has joined on a long-term contract.
All Arsenal have said is it’s a club record fee but Dortmund have to confirm the deal to the stock market and they claim we’ve paid €63m – which equates to around £56m.

For a striker that’s scored 141 goals in 213 games for Dortmund, £56m seems like an excellent deal in today’s market and hopefully Auba can provide a much-needed spark during the second half of the season.
Unfortunately, Aubameyang’s arrival is expected to lead to Olivier Giroud joining Chelsea in a reported £18m deal. That transfer is set to be concluded over the coming hours.
