[Video] Sky Sports: Aubameyang arrives at Arsenal’s training ground to complete move

By on January 30, 2018

According to Sky Sports News, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has arrived at Arsenal’s London Colney training base to complete his proposed move from Borussia Dortmund.

We’ve been deep in talks with Dortmund trying to thrash out a deal over the past week after chief exec Ivan Gazidis, head scout Sven Mislintat and legal expert Huss Fahmy flew-out to Dortmund last weekend.

After seeing at least formal offers knocked back, we finally reached an agreement with German outlet Kicker reporting yesterday that we’d agreed a deal worth around £55m for Aubameyang’s signature.

The proposed deal was being held up as we’ve been waiting for Dortmund to secure a replacement before they’d release the Gabon international and they’ve been linked with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi in the media.

Social media erupted earlier this afternoon after footage emerged of Aubameyang arriving at Dortmund airport with his family and over 30,000 fans have been tracking a private jet that landed at London Luton Airport a short time ago.

Sky Sports are now showing footage that they claim shows Aubameyang arriving at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground in a black people carrier this afternoon.

Here is the video:

It’s not yet clear whether Dortmund have secured a replacement or if Aubameyang is simply in London in order to get the formalities out the way so we’re ready to push the button when given the go-ahead by the German club.

However, either way, it looks like this deal is ON Gooners! Aubameyang is in the building and he’s now set to finalise his big-money move to Arsenal ahead of tomorrow night’s deadline.
