Mohamed Elneny has aimed a not-so-subtle shot at Alexis Sanchez after posting a message on Twitter celebrating Arsenal’s win over Chelsea last night.

After refusing to sign a new contract, Sanchez completed his move to Manchester United earlier this week with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading to Arsenal in the opposite direction.

Alexis tried to leave in the summer but a proposed move to Manchester City fell through on deadline day and he was reportedly a hugely disruptive figure in the dressing room this season.

There have been reports of several bust-ups involving Sanchez and his team mates on the training pitch and after games as he became a segregated member of the squad.

It was well-documented that Alexis had run-ins with Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey towards the end of last season while the majority of the squad were desperate for him to leave this month.

They had apparently grown tired of his histrionics and selfishness on the pitch and it was significant that very few players wished him well on social media once his move to United was confirmed.

It seems Elneny was among those who is glad to see the back of Sanchez as the Egyptian international has aimed a parting message to the Chilean international on Twitter after saying ‘now there are players fighting every minute for the logo and the fans’.

You absolute legend Mohamed!
