Arsenal agree terms with 21-goal forward ahead of proposed £53m move [Mirror]
According to the Mirror, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of a proposed big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang has been strongly linked with a switch to the Emirates over the past few days after Guillem Balague claimed on Twitter that we were closing-in on a £53m deal.
The Gabon international is being lined-up as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez with the Chilean star expected to complete a move to Manchester United this month.
We saw reports coming from Germany yesterday suggesting that a contract had been agreed between Arsenal and Aubameyang and now the Mirror also claim that personal terms have been settled between the two parties.
The newspaper doesn’t specify how much Aubameyang would earn at Arsenal but they do say he’s determined to force through a move amid speculation he’s handed in a transfer request.
The 28-year-old appears to have strained his relationship with the Bundesliga outfit after being axed from the Dortmund squad for disciplinary reasons on Sunday – which was his third internal suspension in just over a year.
Aubameyang has been fuelling the speculation over a move to Arsenal after being filmed asking team mate Jadon Sancho to take him to London – check out the video here.
So it seems the rumours are intensifying and Aubameyang would be an excellent addition to the squad if we can get a deal over the line as he’s one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.
Having bagged 40 goals last season the pacey forward has already scored 21 goals in his 23 appearances so far this campaign so he’d certainly add a real goal threat to the team if he does move to north London.
