Arsenal will be happy to take a hard fought 0-0 draw back to the Emirates for the second leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final after playing out a stalemate with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Here are my ratings:

Ospina  7/10 | Spilled a couple of shots but made some important, albeit straightforward, saves in the second half.

Chambers  7/10 | Much better performance from Calum tonight. Looked assured and didn’t put a foot wrong.

Mustafi  7.5/10 | Excellent display from the German. Marshalled the backline and put in several vital blocks.

Holding  7/10 | Another who stepped-up from recent poor performances. Went about his business well and helped us to a clean sheet.

Bellerin  6.5/10 | Solid and unspectacular. Didn’t put a foot wrong defensively and got forward when he could. Disciplined performance.

Maitland-Niles  6.5/10 | Much like Bellerin, was solid throughout. Perhaps unlucky not to get a penalty in the first half.

Wilshere  7/10 | Was our best player in the first half as he was running things in midfield but sadly he limped off early in the second half with an ankle injury. Let’s pray it’s not serious.

Xhaka  6/10 | Average display. Wasn’t in possession as much as he’s used to but kept things moving when he was on the ball. Booked.

Iwobi  5/10 | Produced one of the worst shots in recent memory and did little to offer any creativity to the side. No idea why he lasted 90 minutes.

Welbeck  5/10 | Made a couple of runs but had a frustrating night overall. Can’t remember any meaningful contribution.

Lacazette  5/10 | Starved of service all game and sliced his one chance wide. Once again subbed off when Wenger could easily have gone for Welbeck or Iwobi. Feel sorry for the lad.

Subs:

Elneny  6/10 | Had no real impact.

Sanchez  6/10 | Added a bit of ‘bite’ to our attack. Should have started.
