Arsenal in talks trying to thrash out deal to sign £50m Brazilian attacker
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are trying to thrash out a deal with the agents of Bordeaux attacker Malcom as Arsene Wenger looks to replace Alexis Sanchez.
Our Chilean super-star – who is out of contract in June – is expected to finally join Manchester City this month after a proposed move collapsed on deadline day in the summer.
We’ve been linked with the likes of Thomas Lemar, Riyad Mahrez and Cristian Pavon in recent weeks but it looks like Wenger has now identified a new target.
That’s because Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Arsenal are in talks with the agent of Malcom trying to find an agreement with the Brazilian U20 international.
The Italian says that a meeting between Arsenal and Bordeaux chiefs is scheduled for today where we will discuss a potential deal to sign the £50m-rated attacker this month.
Malcom has emerged as one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe and he’s attracted interest from several clubs including the likes of Man Utd and Tottenham.
However, it seems Arsenal are now trying to beat their rivals to the 20-year-old’s signature and Malcom could be preparing himself for a move to the Premier League as he revealed last week that he’s learning English.
The South American has provided 7 goals and 4 assists in his 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season and he can play anywhere across the attacking midfield positions so he’d be an excellent signing if we could get a deal agreed.
