[Photos] Teenage sensation trains with Arsenal first team ahead of Cologne game
Eddie Nketiah one among a number of youngsters who trained with the Arsenal first team squad today ahead of our Europa League clash with Cologne on Thursday night.
We head to Germany having already secured safe passage to the knockout stages of the competition after taking 10 points from our four Group H games so far.
As has been the case in all the cup games this season, Arsene Wenger is expected to once again rotate his starting eleven and hand the youngsters and fringe players another chance to impress.
Olivier Giroud missed the win over Tottenham with a thigh injury and there was no sign of him in training today so that could open the door for Nketiah to make his full senior debut.
The 18-year-old announced himself in the first team after coming off the bench to score twice against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup last month so it will be exciting to see what he can do if Wenger gives him a start.
Nketiah was one of several youth players to train with the first team today with Joe Willock, Chuba Akpom, Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles among those hoping for game time.
