Video Highlights: Arsenal 2-0 Tottenham: North London is ours!

By on November 18, 2017

Arsenal produced our best performance of the season to beat Tottenham 2-0 at the Emirates and claim the North London Derby bragging rights.

We started the better of the two sides and made the pressure count in the 36th minute when Mustafi headed home from an Ozil free-kick to make it 1-0 – although replays showed we were fortunate to be awarded the foul in the first place.

Arsene Wenger’s men continued to dominate and we doubled our lead just before half time when Lacazette squared for Sanchez who controlled brilliantly before firing in to the roof of the net.

Tottenham pushed to get back in the game during the second half but we continued to be the more dangerous side and should have extended our lead with Sanchez missing a couple of good chances.

However, we eased to a fully deserved 2-0 win that moves us to within one point of Spurs and should put an end to talk of a ‘power shift’ as North London is once again OURS!

For once Mike Dean had a fairly even-handed game so maybe it does all even out in the end. The Arsenal looked the better team, but did get a few lucky breaks, particularly for the first goal which could have been given offside. Both teams seem to be fairly equal, but the Spuds didn’t look too energetic in the first half and Kane definitely was less dangerous.
