Video: Arsenal 2-1 Norwich AET: Nketiah the hero for Gunners
Eddie Nketiah announced himself on the big stage as he came off the bench to score both goals and secure a 2-1 comeback victory over Norwich in the League Cup tonight.
We started poorly and struggled to create anything of note before Norwich went up the other end to open the scoring when Murphy raced clear and chipped Macey for 0-1 in the 34th minute.
The second string continued to play in first gear and we barely mustered a decent shot on goal while Norwich squandered a couple of excellent opportunities to extend their lead.
But as seems to be the way with these things, we made them pay by scoring a late leveller and it was teenage striker Nketiah who was the hero as he came off the bench to tap home from close range with his first touch in the 85th minute.
The 18-year-old then made it 2-1 during the early stages of extra-time as he rose high to head home from a corner and we held on to book our place in the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup.
